Dale Chilhuly born Sept 20, 1941 in Tacoma, WA. He has a bachelors of art degree from the from the University of Washington. He learned glass blowing in Venice. After a car accident in England that blinded him in one eye, he continued glass blowing. He has glass pieces all over the world however his largest collection is under the the Space Needle in Seattle. A 1.5 acre exhibit and a 16,000 sq garden cost 15 million to build, funded by private donations.
