Centre of the universe

I Love Fremont, this place is special.  I used to live in Fremont before my accident.  On 3501 Albion place I had a two bedroom apartment for 650 dollars.  My bedroom had a lovely view of a tree and Lake Union.  On the 4th of July all I had to do was step out on the deck to see fireworks.

On the Playbill Wall in Pike Place Market.

I love the playbill wall in Pike Place Market, its under the entrance to the market.  There are tons of bits of playbills and graffitti on the wall.  There are also social messages like the one I photographed above.  This message is sad because its true and the gluf mess broke my heart too.

It angers me and saddens me when I think of what we are doing to our oceans.  There's the Exxon/Vadez mess that siill affects Alaska.  There's BP/Gluf of Mexico mess.  Theres the Japan/nuclear plant mess.  There's the vortexes of plastic.  There's over fishing.  There's whale hunting.  I'm sure if I looked for other stupid things we humans do to the ocean, I could find many more.  What the hell is wrong with us?  Why would you want to destory the place you live in?  If we all weren't so greedy and lazy this planet would look alot better.

Bitter Place N

I'm still in that bitter place when I think about the accident.  I woke up in Harborview Hospital out of a coma.  So much of me was damaged that its amazing I'm still here.  I broke 5 ribs, my right leg in three places, my scull around an eye socket., two toes and my back at T12-L1.  I also collasped a lung, lacerated my liver, spleen and kidney, and bruised my heart.  Also I lost most of the skin below my left knee and some of the muscle.  I am now a paraplegic,  On Saturday will be five years since the accident.

In a Bitter Place

I saw this word on the driveway of an apartment building.  Its a word I feel sometimes because I feel like I got a raw deal in life.  I finally got to a place where I wanted to be in life and then I got got hit by a driver high on cocaine.  On may 22, 2006 I left work at 11:30pm and went to the bus stop on 85th and Greenwood.  I missed the bus so I started walking to the next stop that had a bench, I didn't make it to the stop.  An illegal high on cocaine ran a red light at 80 mph and then hit me, a tree, a bicycle rack, a phone box and a parked car.  I went flying into a parking lot and the parked car caught fire.  The illegal's door jammed so a cop had to unjam it to arrest the guy.  He also tried to resist getting arrested by trying to stab the cop with shears he had on the front seat of his car.

I found this guy on a door of a shop off the Interurban Bike path.  I love the spray paint hair.

Today started out good.  I went to the cheese festival and it was warm and sunny.  I got home for my afternoon nap and when I woke up this is what I saw.  This is Bitter Lake with stom clouds over it.

I saw these hearts on my way home from Harborview Hospital.  I have to visit the hospital quite often because I am a paraplegic with a pressure ulcer on my butt.  Its taking a long time to heal.  I tried the operation method but that route failed, 6 weeks at Harborview for nothing!

Under Construction

This blog is under construction just like my favorite place in Seattle.  Pike Place Market is being repaired so things are either temporarly closed or moved to another part of the market.
